Before you ride
Safety, suitability and horse welfare
Good experiences begin with honest information and the freedom to change the plan when the match or conditions are not right.
Complete a rider request
Information we need
- Recent riding frequency and typical discipline.
- Approximate height and weight for every rider.
- What each rider can do confidently without assistance.
- Relevant limitations that affect safe participation.
- Any change in circumstances before the ride.
Our decisions
We may adjust the horse, route, pace, duration or format; move the time because of heat or weather; or decline a request. Riding always involves inherent risk and following instructions is essential.
What to wear
Approved riding helmets and closed footwear with a defined heel are normally required. Long trousers and practical fitted clothing are recommended. Final instructions depend on the session.
